Student Teacher applications for 2026 Hekate Camp will open soon

Please read below to get an idea of our process.
1st, 2nd and 3rd Year Student Teacher Guidelines
Preferably all applicants will:
Have attended a Reclaiming WitchCamp.
Already be teaching and priestexing within their own communities.
Be able to describe recent teaching and priestexing experiences and any relevant skills.
Demonstrate a commitment to Reclaiming within Australia.
Not already be committed to teaching at a WitchCamp in 2025.
Be willing to engage an all-ages camp in which two paths (including Elements of Magic) will be open to people of all ages.
How to apply:
Email a cover letter and application in a word doc or PDF addressing the points listed above along with your connection to the myth and theme.
Please also indicate which full teachers in Reclaiming could speak to your skills and priestexing experience (ensure you first ask them about including their names) and write about your strengths and challenges in priestexing work (e.g. working with children, drumming or drumming-challenged, leading spiral dances, ritual arc mapping, etc.).
Please also include your location, pronouns, and any other accessibility points that may be helpful to communicate such as disability, English as second language, etc. If you have taught at Reclaiming WitchCamps before please indicate which ones, which year, and the theme/story. Please save a copy of this application for your records and future use.
1st year applicants, please address the above points.
For 2nd year applicants please address the points above AND:
the experience you have gained since your 1st year student teaching experiences, such as:
Recently leading community rituals, facilitating groups (not limited to magical groups), offering/contributing to workshops and classes, including Core Reclaiming Classes.
Plus, skills you have been working on since your 1st year student teaching experience and how you are progressing with developing your own body of work.
3rd year applicants please address the general points above AND:
What skills you have developed further since your 2nd year as a student teacher.
Your experiences of offering your skills to the community since your 2nd year of student teaching.
What body of work you have developed and how you are delivering it in the community.
Compensation - CloudCatcher offers the following to Australian student teachers:
First year student teachers:
Camp fees covered but first year student teachers pay for travel costs themselves.
Second year and third year student teachers receive:
Camp fees covered, we pay domestic travel costs associated with getting to and from CloudCatcher, with receipts.
Overseas Student Teachers
We encourage overseas student teachers to apply and have gladly welcomed them onto teams in past years, but we are unable to cover their international travel; flights to and from Brisbane/Gold Coast will be their responsibility.
At CloudCatcher we seek to select senior teachers who will offer excellent mentorship and training to student teachers.
