Affinity Groups
What are Affinity Groups?
Affinity Groups are small groups that meet during WitchCamp. They are randomly selected, to create a group that has a mix of knowledge, experience, and people from different Paths. Affinity Groups are intended for empowerment. Facilitation of the group is shared by all group members. They provide a chance for social connections, personal sharing, and discussing issues that arise during WitchCamp. Discussions might cover what’s happening in each path, at the evening rituals, and what challenges and joys may be arising for each person.
Affinity Groups are part of the Reclaiming Tradition and are based on the Affinity Group model that has been used in political actions all over the world. They are designed to take us out of our comfort zone and give us the opportunity to meet and get to know people we might not ordinarily spend time with.
Affinity Group times:
Sunday 13th February 10am to 12pm
Once you’re in your group, it is recommended you meet at least once per month (again in March, and then in April before the 17th)
Camp’s spacious timeline means you can arrange to meet at a time that suits you all, and you are more than welcome to meet more than once per month, if that is desired by the group.
A zoom link will only be provided for the first gathering.
