CloudCatcher
Reclaiming WitchCamp
CloudCatcher WitchCamp is held each year on unceded Aboriginal land. We acknowledge the Yugambeh and Bundjalung Peoples, who—in the North and in the South—have cultivated and sustained the Dreaming of this vast and sacred landscape for tens of thousands of years.
We pay our respects to the Elders of this Land, past, present, and emerging,
and honour the Dreaming of this Country.
We humbly in acknowledge the complexity of relationship with Land
We acknowledge these past and present injustices and displacement. We seek to be in right relationship with the living custodians and the spirits of this Land, and hope that the work we as witches do together shifts our world each day closer to regeneration and justice.

Yarning with Aunty Pixie
CloudCatcher WitchCamp has been privileged to have Aunty Pixie as a special guest for the past two years. To honour this meaningful relationship, the Org team: Chani, Hazel, Hel, Leaf, and Gianna, alongside former Org and Reclaiming teacher Megan, gathered at the foot of Wollumbin on Bundjalung country, part of the great volcanic line of Eastern so-called Australia. Hel and Gianna arrived in the evening, where Aunty Pixie had thoughtfully prepared our space and welcomed us with water from the mountain and her captivating stories. The following day, Aunty Pixie generously guided us through important knowledge sharing, emphasising how we can improve our practice and manners at camp and in the lead-up to it. She reminded us that our work and gatherings are deeply rooted in honouring one another, our ancestors, and the land. We thank Aunty Pixie for hosting this gathering. Aunty’s stories and insights have illuminated our paths. The lessons imparted - about the importance of intention, the power of words, and the respect we owe to all beings will resonate in our hearts as we move forward together. As we prepare for our 2025 camp, "The World Tree and the Gift of Odin," continuing to honour what Aunty Pixie says is the most important part of moving forward to developing deeper relationship with country that will allow more relationship with other Indigenous representatives of country. “Magic is made up of tiny moments of true manners and thankfulness all folding into each other.” As we keep learning and processing the yarn, we honour the animals and the land and aim to create a space where we embody this spirit of connection.
